The Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Development Awareness (CESDA) has felicitated with Nigerians on Easter. Also, it applauded Nigerians for the sacrifices they took by adhering to Government directives during Easter Celebration.

In a press statement signed by Ogunko Oluwaseyi, BOT Chairman, CESDA, it reads “Easter period is a season to have a reflection of the great sacrifice made by Christ, the son of God, so that we can live. We celebrate his resurrection because of the faith we have that he had victory over death over 2000 years.

“This Easter period is a time that we should demonstrates the essence of Christ sacrifice for humanity: Yes, we have been doing so but I implore us to continue in the spirit sacrifice that we have all been making during this COVID-19 lockdown period, it bears eloquent testimony of our willingness to bring an end to this pandemic.”

In addition, the statement reads, “CESDA as an organization knows that it is the concern for the entire human race that we continue to take precautionary measures and also comply with Government directives. It is pertinent that we realize that Government is not with an intention to inflict hardship on its citizen, but rather, this stringent decision of total lockdown is intended to curb the widespread infection of this deadly virus.

“Our prayer is that: May this RESURRECTION period serve as the first of many Easters we shall celebrate. And may we celebrate the next in better global conditions when we would have overcome this historic pandemic by the power in the blood of Christ! Amen…
