In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing financial literacy, FBNQuest Trustees Limited, a subsidiary of First HoldCo Plc that specializes in trust solutions for individuals, corporations, and government bodies, recently held its first-ever Estate Planning Summit in Port Harcourt.

The event, titled “Wealth Preservation and Transfer without Hassle,” was designed to equip participants with essential knowledge for managing and successfully transferring their assets and legacies to their beneficiaries.

During the summit, Babajide Fetuga, Acting Managing Director of FBNQuest Trustees, emphasized the critical nature of professional guidance in estate planning. He explained that a well-structured estate plan eliminates ambiguity by providing clear instructions on asset management and distribution.

“The risks of not having an estate plan are significant,” Fetuga warned. “They can lead to ongoing family disputes and prolonged court battles, creating financial burdens and fostering long-lasting resentments among family members if proactive measures are not taken to shield loved ones from unnecessary stress.”
