The Ikeja Chapter of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has concluded plans to elect new executives who will steer the affairs of the institute for the next two years. 

Earlier, the Excos and members of the Chapter had called for the dissolution of the last executive having stayed in the office for two years. They constituted the Electoral Committee in line with the provision of Act 25 of 2003 at the last general meeting on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Berger Paints Plc., Ikeja. The Electoral Committee Members are; Ayoola Akomolafe as Chairman, IghoEseitomodje as Secretary, and OlumideMakinde as member.

According to the electoral committee, the election will run from 10 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, to 1.00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The announcement of the results will be done immediately after the election on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

The candidates vying for various positions include DrKehindeJoda, Chairman; Sir JellilyEfedi, Vice Chairman; Chima Augustine Ibiam, Secretary; Anthony Daniel Igumah, Assistant Secretary; and Eric Birhiray, Financial Secretary.

Others are Justin Akalezi, Treasurer; Titilope Josephine Osinfowokan, Social/Welfare Officer; Stephen OkwudiliOkoh, Public Relations Officer and Utomi A. Biyang Nana UcheMilagrosa, Public Relations Officer.

The swearing-in/presentation of a certificate of returns to elected officers will be done at its next physical meeting with Funfair on Wednesday, September 20 by 3.30 pm at the Berger Paints ‘Training Centre, Oba Akran Ave, Ikeja.
