Nigerian Breweries Appoints Sarah Agha as New Marketing Director to Drive Growth

Nigerian Breweries Plc, a subsidiary of HEINEKEN and Nigeria’s leading brewing company, has announced the appointment of Sarah Agha as its new Marketing Director, effective June 1, 2025.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Friday, May 2, 2025, by the company’s Managing Director, Hans Essaadi. In her new role, Sarah will oversee the development and execution of the company’s marketing strategies, aiming to propel the business into its next growth phase aligned with the EverGreen 2030 vision. Her focus will be on implementing a consumer-centric approach to strengthen the company’s presence in mainstream markets while expanding leadership in premium and emerging beverage segments.
Sarah Agha brings a wealth of experience to the role, having joined Nigerian Breweries in 2018. During her tenure, she has successfully managed marketing campaigns for renowned international brands such as Heineken, Desperados, and local favorites including Legend Extra Stout, Star Lager, and Gulder. Over the past four years, she has also held regional commerce roles across the GCU and AME regions within HEINEKEN.
Currently serving as the AME Regional Marketing Excellence Director for HEINEKEN International, Sarah has led initiatives to enhance consumer engagement and brand strategies across the region. She is credited with fostering a collaborative culture among HEINEKEN operating companies and shifting focus from capability development to high-quality execution.
Prior to her tenure at HEINEKEN, Sarah held management positions in various industries, including Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and telecommunications. She is widely recognized as a strategic partner and thought leader, passionate about brand building and talent development.
Her appointment signals Nigerian Breweries’ commitment to strengthening its market leadership through innovative and consumer-focused marketing strategies.
