Coronation Launches ShareholderLive to Enhance Investor Access and Control in Nigeria’s Capital Market

In a significant move to modernise shareholder engagement and streamline investor services across Nigeria, Coronation Registrars, a subsidiary of Coronation Group Limited, has introduced ShareholderLive. This innovative digital self-service platform grants shareholders real-time insight and greater control over their investments.
Featuring an intuitive design and robust functionalities, ShareholderLive is set to become the preferred solution for both retail and institutional investors seeking more transparent and efficient management of their equity holdings.
Key features of the platform include a live dashboard allowing shareholders to view their holdings, transaction history, performance metrics, and portfolio growth at a glance. The app also facilitates digital voting during Annual General Meetings, promoting inclusive participation regardless of location. For official documentation needs, users can generate professional statements suitable for visa applications, financial planning, or third-party verification. Additionally, shareholders can securely update details such as bank information, share transfers, and mandates, removing the need for queues and paperwork.
Mr. Seyi Owoturo, Managing Director of Coronation Registrars, explained that the goal of ShareholderLive is to reposition investors as active decision-makers within the financial ecosystem.
“The capital market must evolve to meet the expectations of today’s mobile, data-driven investors who value convenience. ShareholderLive is our response to that need. It is designed not merely as a support tool but as a comprehensive interface to empower shareholders,” he stated.
In the near future, the platform will unveil additional features aimed at creating ongoing value and expanding market access. Shareholders will soon be able to participate in Dividend Reinvestment Plans (DRIPs) directly through the app, turning passive income into long-term growth. Integration with linked brokers will also enable users to initiate buy and sell orders for listed equities directly from their accounts, simplifying trading and creating a unified investment experience.
Looking ahead, ShareholderLive is preparing for further enhancements, including an AI-powered virtual assistant to handle user queries and personalised market insights to inform investment decisions. All features are developed in compliance with SEC regulations and international data protection standards.
Currently available on both web and mobile platforms, ShareholderLive is fully integrated with Coronation’s existing registrar services.
As Nigeria’s capital market embraces digital transformation, tools like ShareholderLive are reshaping investor engagement with greater ease, confidence, and transparency.
