Fidelity Bank Distributes Food Items to Communities in Ondo State

In a gesture of corporate social responsibility, Fidelity Bank Plc has recently distributed food supplies to residents of Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas in Ondo State. This initiative underscores the bank’s commitment to enhancing community welfare and reducing hunger across Nigeria.
The donation event was held at Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ilaje Local Government. Mr. Folaranmi Jemirin, Regional Bank Head, Southwest 1, Fidelity Bank Plc, emphasized the significance of the Fidelity Food Bank initiative, which aims to alleviate food insecurity and support underprivileged communities nationwide.
“We are proud to extend this impactful program to Ondo State. Our hope is that today’s donations will bring relief and comfort to those in need,” Mr. Jemirin stated.
Mrs. Olurantimi Esejuwon, Vice Chairman of Ilaje Local Government, expressed appreciation for Fidelity Bank’s generosity, especially towards the elderly and disabled populations.
“This act of kindness is a vital lifeline for many in our communities facing daily struggles for basic needs. Fidelity Bank’s concern for community welfare beyond banking services is truly commendable,” she remarked.
Hon. Biyi Poroye, Chairman of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), also lauded the bank’s efforts and called for the establishment of a Fidelity Bank branch in Ilaje, highlighting the region’s economic potential.
One of the beneficiaries, Pastor Ikudehinbu Ademola, shared his gratitude: “Many families here will sleep with joy tonight thanks to Fidelity Bank’s kindness. We also hope the bank considers opening a branch here so we can access their services more easily.”
This recent distribution in Ondo State is part of Fidelity Bank’s ongoing community outreach. Previously, the bank provided food supplies to over 2,000 residents across various locations in Anambra State, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable community development.
