Qatar Airways and Air Algérie Strengthen Ties with New Codeshare Flights

Qatar Airways and Air Algérie have announced the launch of a new codeshare partnership, enhancing connectivity between Algeria and major markets across Asia and the Middle East via Hamad International Airport. Starting today, travelers can book codeshare flights for travel beginning November 15, 2025.
Building upon their existing interline agreement, the new codeshare allows Qatar Airways passengers easier access to Algiers and six other Algerian domestic destinations, including Annaba, Constantine, Oran, Tamanrasset, Timimoun, and Tindouf. Privilege Club members will also earn Avios on Air Algérie-operated codeshare flights.
Conversely, Air Algérie passengers traveling through the partnership will gain more options to reach Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Muscat via Doha, with plans to expand to additional destinations soon.
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori commented, “We are excited to deepen our partnership with Air Algérie, strengthening our presence in Africa and offering travelers seamless connections across the Middle East and Asia. This collaboration underscores our commitment to strategic partnerships that enhance global connectivity through Hamad International Airport, recognized by Skytrax as the ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ for 11 consecutive years and named the ‘World’s Best Airport’ in 2021, 2022, and 2024. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Air Algérie.”
Air Algérie’s Head of Commercial, Samy El Karim Boutemadja, added, “This codeshare will boost Air Algérie’s reach in the Middle East and Asia, providing our customers with expanded travel options and promoting tourism to Algeria. It aligns with our broader strategy to grow our network through our Algiers hub and we are eager to develop this partnership further.”
Currently, Qatar Airways maintains 30 interline and six codeshare agreements across Africa, operating 213 weekly flights to 30 cities in 21 countries on the continent.
