inDrive Donates Over ₦75 Million in Relief to Displaced Lagos Residents

In partnership with GenerousMe, the initiative supports more than 2,000 affected individuals and families with essential food, clothing, and school supplies.

inDrive has allocated over ₦75 million in relief efforts for Lagos residents displaced by recent demolitions. The humanitarian initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Tolu Aniwura Welfare Foundation (“GenerousMe”), took place at St. Paul Catholic Church, Ebute-Metta, and aims to assist families and individuals impacted by community displacement.

The outreach benefits more than 2,000 people, providing vital supplies such as food, clothing, bedding, baby care products, and school materials. The support also extends to individuals who previously benefited from inDrive-backed social impact programs, highlighting the company’s ongoing dedication to empowering vulnerable Nigerian communities.

Relief packages included staple dry foods like rice, beans, garri, noodles, spaghetti, cooking oil, tomato paste, seasoning cubes, and salt. Beneficiaries also received clothing items, blankets, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, rechargeable lamps, power banks, and baby essentials. For children, school packs containing bags, exercise books, and writing materials were distributed.

Commenting on the initiative, inDrive Nigeria’s Country Representative, Timothy Oladimeji, noted that the project reflects the company’s people-first philosophy and its commitment to addressing urgent community needs while fostering long-term empowerment.

The recent demolitions left many families vulnerable, and through our partnership with GenerousMe, we were able to respond quickly and responsibly. This intervention reflects our commitment to fairness, empathy, and ensuring that people remain at the centre of everything we do,” Oladimeji stated.
