Turkish Airlines Reports Strong Start to 2026 with 7.6 Million Passengers Carried in January

Turkish Airlines has announced its passenger and cargo traffic results for January 2026, highlighting significant growth compared to the previous year. The airline recorded carrying 7.6 million passengers in the first month of the year, with a total load factor reaching 84%. The airline also reported a 10% increase in available seat kilometers (ASK) compared to January 2025.
According to the January 2026 Traffic Results:
– The number of carried passengers totaled 7.6 million. The international load factor was 83.7%, while the domestic load factor stood at 87.5%.
– The number of international-to-international passengers increased by 10.8%, rising from 2.8 million in 2025 to 3.1 million in January 2026.
– Available seat kilometers (ASK) increased by 10%, reaching 23.7 billion in January 2026, up from 21.5 billion during the same period last year.
– Cargo and mail carried during January 2026 grew by 18.8%, totaling 178.3 thousand tons.
– As of the end of January 2026, the airline’s fleet comprised 522 aircraft.
