Truecaller Hits 500 Million Users, Eyes 1 Billion

Truecaller, the world’s leading platform for safe and trusted communication, announced today that it has exceeded 500 million users worldwide, marking a major milestone in its mission to foster trust in digital communication.
The platform has experienced substantial growth, adding over 50 million users in 2025 alone. It has also surpassed 150 million users outside India as global demand for protection against spam, scams, and unwanted messages continues to rise. Earlier this year, Truecaller also crossed 4 million paying subscribers globally, strengthening a key revenue stream.
Reaching the 500 million user mark highlights how trust has become one of the most critical elements in digital communication today.
“This is an important milestone for us, but it also says something bigger about the world we live in,” said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Truecaller. “More and more people need help navigating spam, scams, and unwanted communication every day. Reaching 500 million users shows the scale of that need, and the trust people place in Truecaller to help make communication safer. Our commitment remains focused on continuously strengthening Truecaller with smarter technology and new capabilities that protect users before, during, and after every call or message. Ultimately, our aim is to build a safer, more trusted communication ecosystem for everyone. We now have our sights set on the next milestone: 1 billion users.”
With half a billion users engaging with the platform each month, Truecaller has evolved beyond its original caller ID function. It has become a crucial part of how people communicate safely in the digital age—a daily trust layer that helps verify identities, prevent fraud, and enable informed interactions.
Today, Truecaller operates as a global digital utility platform, integrated into everyday communication for hundreds of millions. From identifying unknown callers to preventing scams and enabling safer messaging, the platform has become a habitual service supporting safer phone interactions worldwide.
Despite serving over half a billion users, the company remains relatively lean, with approximately 470 employees dedicated to building and maintaining the platform for users around the globe.
Truecaller will continue to report its average monthly and daily active users quarterly, in conjunction with its interim financial disclosures.
