Doyin Bademosi Joins Nigeria’s NCCP Technical Working Group to Drive Digital Cancer Initiatives
The Federal Ministry of Health has announced the appointment of Doyin Bademosi, Founder and CEO of Durotimi AI, to the Technical Working Group (TWG) for Nigeria’s National Cancer Control Plan (NCCP). He will serve as the Chairman of the Cancer Data, AI and Digital Health Subcommittee. In this influential role, Bademosi will help shape Nigeria’s digital transformation in cancer surveillance, early detection, and the integration of artificial intelligence into the national oncology framework.
As Nigeria strives to enhance its response to the increasing cancer burden, the NCCP provides a strategic blueprint for improving patient outcomes across the country. Bademosi’s appointment marks a pivotal move toward leveraging data-driven solutions and promoting equitable healthcare. He will focus on advising the development of digital ecosystems tailored to Nigeria’s infrastructural realities.
“To move the needle on cancer survival in Nigeria, we must move beyond generic technology and embrace Localized Intelligence,” said Doyin Bademosi. “My mission will and has always been to ensure that AI is a clinical accelerator, not a barrier. His contributions within the TWG will aim to ensure that digital health solutions are interoperable, ethically sound, and suited to Nigeria’s demographic needs.
The inclusion of private-sector expertise in the NCCP underscores the Ministry’s commitment to fostering public-private collaboration in tackling complex health challenges.
With over ten years of experience in health technology architecture, Bademosi has a proven track record of designing and scaling innovative clinical solutions. Besides leading Durotimi AI—based in Minnesota, USA, with operations in Ireland—he is also the founder of Radmol AI and a member of the Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate alumni network.
