Dufil Prima Foods, FRSC Strengthen National Road Safety Partnership
In a concerted effort to enhance road safety advocacy across Nigeria, Dufil Prima Foods Plc and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) are set to elevate their longstanding collaboration to a national scale. This development follows a courtesy visit by Dufil’s Director of Special Projects, Rajesh Gaggar, and Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager, Temitope Ashiwaju, to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, at the FRSC Headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting centred on expanding joint initiatives focused on raising road safety awareness, fostering a responsible driving culture, and advancing public advocacy programmes targeting motorists, commercial riders, students, and the wider community.
This engagement builds upon a partnership spanning over 15 years, with numerous interventions previously implemented at the state level. A notable platform has been the Indomie Fan Club (IFC), through which both organisations have actively educated school children on road safety and championed the integration of road safety education into primary school curricula.
The visit also provided an opportunity to review past initiatives and explore new avenues for collaboration under the leadership of the Corps Marshal. Highlighting Dufil’s contributions, Ashiwaju mentioned initiatives such as the donation of 10,000 safety helmets to motorcycle riders and the renovation of the FRSC Lagos office.
“For us at Dufil, road safety remains a vital aspect of our social impact efforts. We are pleased to deepen our engagement with the FRSC leadership and explore ways to expand these initiatives nationwide,” Ashiwaju stated.
Commending Dufil’s sustained commitment to road safety advocacy, Corps Marshal Mohammed emphasised the critical role of private-sector partnerships in reducing road traffic crashes and enhancing safety culture across the country.
The organisations also discussed future collaborative efforts, including nationwide school advocacy campaigns, public enlightenment programmes, and additional support for FRSC initiatives. They reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening this partnership in order to advance Nigeria’s road safety objectives and ensure safer roads for all citizens.
