Chery Q Arrives Nigeria As Carloha Raises Bar For Smart Connected Electric Mobility
Award-winning design, intelligent technology, advanced safety and comprehensive aftersales support underpin Chery’s latest electric offering

Carloha Nigeria, the official franchise holder, assembler and authorised distributor of Chery vehicles in Nigeria, has announced the nationwide availability of the Chery Q, expanding access to intelligent, practical and connected electric mobility for Nigerian motorists.
Built around Chery’s global “Quest for Joy” philosophy, the Chery Q combines distinctive design, intelligent technology, advanced safety, practicality and electric performance in a compact package targeted at the evolving needs of urban motorists.
The model also builds on the heritage of Chery’s iconic QQ family, reimagined for a new generation of drivers seeking cleaner, smarter and more connected mobility.
Designed with young professionals, growing families, first-time electric vehicle buyers and urban motorists in mind, the Chery Q blends contemporary styling with everyday functionality.
Its design, recognised with the Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award, features expressive geometric styling, rounded LED lighting and a modern two-tone interior.
Despite its compact footprint, the Chery Q offers an 85 per cent space-efficiency ratio. Measuring 4,195mm in length with a 2,700mm wheelbase, the vehicle provides generous passenger space, while luggage capacity can be expanded from 375 litres to 1,450 litres.
The vehicle is further equipped with a 70-litre front trunk and 38 smart storage compartments, giving owners additional flexibility for commuting, shopping, family activities and weekend travel.
Electric Performance Meets Smart Technology
The Chery Q is built on a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive platform with independent suspension and balanced weight distribution, features designed to support handling and stability.
Electric Power Steering and a One-Box Brake-by-Wire system contribute to driving precision and smoothness while supporting energy recovery.
The model offers an estimated 420-kilometre NEDC driving range, providing flexibility for extended daily journeys with fewer charging interruptions.
Its fast-charging capability can replenish the battery from 30 per cent to 80 per cent in approximately 16.5 minutes, potentially reducing charging downtime for users.
The Chery Q also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing owners to power compatible electrical devices and outdoor equipment directly from the vehicle.
Inside the cabin, a 15.6-inch high-definition touchscreen, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, anchors the vehicle’s digital interface.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, intelligent voice control, 50W wireless charging, smartphone integration and remote vehicle management through a mobile application further extend the vehicle’s connectivity features.
Advanced Safety Technologies
Safety is another major component of the Chery Q package, with the vehicle featuring a Level 2 Intelligent Driver Assistance System incorporating more than 20 advanced safety functions.
These include Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent High Beam Control, a 540-degree panoramic camera and Automated Parking Assist.
The technologies are designed to provide additional driver support in areas such as traffic management, parking and hazard awareness, while complementing the driver’s control of the vehicle.
CarlohaCare Strengthens Ownership Proposition
For Carloha Nigeria, the introduction of the Chery Q extends beyond the availability of another electric vehicle. The company is also positioning its aftersales support structure as a key part of the ownership proposition.
Every Chery Q comes with CarlohaCare 6-6-7, covering a six-year warranty, six years of free scheduled service up to 120,000 kilometres, and a seven-day repair promise.
Under the repair promise, Carloha commits to repairing the vehicle within seven days or providing a courtesy vehicle if the repair is not completed within that period.
The support package is complemented by CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue, which provides roadside assistance and a 24-hour assistance line.
The service is also available to non-Chery owners, subject to limited slots.
The combination of warranty, scheduled maintenance, repair support and roadside assistance is designed to address one of the key considerations for consumers evaluating electric vehicles—confidence in ownership and aftersales support.
