IHS Nigeria, HSES Join Forces to Advance Environmental Sustainability and Public Health in Abuja

IHS Nigeria, a subsidiary of IHS Holding Limited (NYSE: IHS), one of the world’s largest independent owners and operators of shared communication infrastructure, has announced a strategic partnership with the Health Services and Environment Secretariat (HSES) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The collaboration aims to promote clean energy adoption and enhance environmental health standards within the FCT.
The partnership was formalized on September 25th during a signing ceremony at the IHS Nigeria headquarters in Lagos. This alliance marks a significant milestone in joint efforts toward environmental sustainability, climate action, and improved public health across Nigeria’s capital.
Both organizations are committed to tackling critical environmental issues by advocating for cleaner, sustainable energy sources and reducing carbon emissions. The initiative aligns with Nigeria’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) towards climate change mitigation and fostering a healthier environment for residents.
Under the agreement, IHS Nigeria will collaborate with HSES on community-driven projects that encourage the use of renewable energy, decrease dependency on fossil fuels, and improve environmental health standards in the FCT.
