LASAA Hosts Legislative Delegation, Reaffirms Commitment to Visual Order and Safety

The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) recently received a distinguished delegation from the Lagos State House of Assembly’s Committee on Environment, led by Chairman Honourable Shabi Rasheed Adekola. The visit was part of the committee’s statutory oversight duties, providing an important platform for detailed discussions on LASAA’s performance and regulatory compliance.

Led by LASAA Managing Director/CEO Prince Fatiu Akiolu, the agency’s management team engaged the committee in comprehensive talks covering the agency’s activities, performance metrics, and adherence to regulatory standards. The meeting emphasized strategic policies and ongoing initiatives aimed at creating a more organized, safe, and visually appealing outdoor advertising environment across Lagos State.

Prince Akiolu expressed his gratitude to the committee for their support and guidance, reaffirming LASAA’s dedication to maintaining high standards in outdoor advertising regulation.

“We are deeply committed to best practices in signage regulation,” Prince Akiolu stated. “Our mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of Lagos’ visual environment, ensuring a safer and more attractive city for residents and visitors alike.”

Honourable Adekola praised LASAA’s operational efficiency and efforts in maintaining a cleaner, safer Lagos through effective signage control. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the legislature and government agencies to ensure service delivery, accountability, and public safety.

“We recognize LASAA’s critical role in keeping Lagos clean and safe,” Adekola said. “A strong partnership between the legislature and agencies like LASAA is essential for delivering on our shared goal of improved service and accountability, aligned with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s development agenda.”

The Chairman also called on LASAA to intensify public awareness efforts, highlighting that engaging residents about the agency’s mandate is vital for ensuring ongoing compliance and revenue generation. He further stressed the importance of maintaining outdoor advertising structures with the highest integrity to guarantee public safety.
