Nigeria Innovation Summit Unveils Agenda for 10th Anniversary Edition

InnovationHub Africa has officially announced the agenda for the highly anticipated 10th Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS), set to take place on 7-8 October 2025 at the Muson Centre, Lagos. Celebrating a decade of driving innovation across Nigeria and Africa, this landmark event promises to be a dynamic platform for shaping the continent’s future through groundbreaking ideas, strategic collaborations, and disruptive solutions.

The Nigeria Innovation Summit has grown into a premier annual gathering that unites key stakeholders from government, academia, startups, investors, and industry players. It serves as a vital forum for addressing pressing challenges, fostering innovation, and exploring opportunities across diverse sectors to accelerate sustainable development.

Disclosing the summit’s theme, Mr. Tony Ajah, Programme Director of NIS, stated, “The theme for this year’s event is ‘Sustainable Innovation’. In a world confronting climate change, social inequality, and economic uncertainty, innovation must transcend novelty to become sustainable and inclusive. We need to rethink how we create solutions that not only meet today’s needs but also safeguard the future.”

Ajah emphasised, “The future belongs to those who innovate responsibly and boldly. Nigeria and Africa are crucial players in this global pursuit of sustainable growth. This year, we will explore how innovation can drive development, empower youth, strengthen industries, and transform communities. Most importantly, we will connect, collaborate, and commit to meaningful action.”

NIS 2025 will convene prominent speakers from Nigeria’s thriving innovation ecosystem and international thought leaders. The event will feature engaging discussions, Nigeria Innovation Experience Talks (NiX Talks), startup pitches, exhibitions, workshops, fireside chats, and showcases in sectors such as healthtech, agritech, circular economy, AI applications, renewable energy, fintech, real estate, edtech, and the digital economy.

The summit’s rich programme aims to foster collaboration among startups, entrepreneurs, policymakers, research institutions, and development partners. It also provides Nigerian innovators with opportunities to showcase solutions for industry adoption and commercialisation. The event will culminate in the prestigious Nigeria Innovation Awards, recognising outstanding contributions to the ecosystem.

Over the years, NIS has attracted more than 12,000 delegates, 220 speakers, 100 tertiary institutions, 40 government ministries, participants from 36 states, over 170 sponsors and partners, and attendees from 42 countries. Its reach extends beyond Nigeria through live-streaming, making the event accessible to a global audience.

Participation is open to local and international businesses, startups, MSMEs, public and private institutions, embassies, investors, and all stakeholders committed to fostering innovation. The summit also offers sponsorship, partnership, and exhibition opportunities for those looking to showcase innovative products and ideas.
