Nigeria’s NECA Director-General Joins BUSINESSAfrica Executive Council

In a significant milestone for African private sector representation, Adewale-Smatt Oyerinde, the Director-General of the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), has been elected to the Executive Council of BUSINESSAfrica, the premier continental organization representing employers and private sector entities across Africa. The election took place during the organization’s General Assembly held on June 10, 2025, at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland.

BUSINESSAfrica plays a crucial role in advancing private sector development and fostering regional business integration. It actively advocates on behalf of African enterprises at key international platforms, including the African Union and the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Oyerinde’s election highlights his dedication to Africa’s economic progress and regional cooperation. He joins a distinguished group of business leaders committed to guiding BUSINESSAfrica’s initiatives in promoting sustainable enterprise growth, job creation, competitive markets, and continental economic renaissance.
