Plan International Nigeria Champions Girls’ Rights at Africa Social Impact Summit 4.0
Plan International Nigeria, a leading advocate for girls’ rights and gender equality, is set to participate prominently in the Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 4.0, with a strategic focus on influencing policies, reinforcing systems, and forging impactful partnerships aimed at safeguarding and empowering girls across Africa.
As a key theme partner of the summit, the organization will lead vital discussions on gender equity, inclusive education, and protection, emphasizing the urgent need for resilient systems that support adolescent girls, especially during crises, conflicts, and recovery phases. Plan International Nigeria continues to advocate for development strategies that deliver sustainable support to girls—whether in schools, communities, or at the policy level—and ensure their long-term well-being and empowerment.
“The conversation around development remains incomplete if girls are still being left behind,” said Charles Usie, Country Director of Plan International Nigeria. “ASIS provides a vital platform where that reality cannot be ignored. Our goal is to promote meaningful change for every girl navigating risks, uncertainty, and systemic inequalities.”
At ASIS 4.0, the organization will participate in high-level panels and working groups focused on education financing, youth policies, and gender-responsive development initiatives. Additionally, it will highlight community-driven stories that showcase the transformative power of long-term, girls-centric interventions and programs.
