Samsung, SuperSport, Others Throw Weight Behind 4th Cycling Lagos

Samsung, SuperSport, Leadway Assurance, and other prominent brands have reaffirmed their support for the upcoming 4th edition of Cycling Lagos, now scheduled for Saturday, June 28th, 2025.

The 2025 event, proudly sponsored by Samsung, also garners backing from Nestlé Nigeria Plc, Evans Baroque, Mountains Energy Solution, the Lagos State Sports Commission, and the Lagos State Cycling Association.

In Lagos, Bamidele Adeleye, Managing Director of BrandEscort Communications and the event’s convener expressed confidence that this year’s edition will be bigger and better. He revealed that the event will benefit from extensive media coverage, including a special partnership with SuperSport (DStv), along with other leading national media outlets.

Adeleye explained that rescheduling the event was necessary to prevent overlapping with the National Sports Festival, a major multi-sport event taking place in Ogun State from May 16 to May 30, 2025.

He encouraged athletes and cycling enthusiasts to seize the new date and register via the official website: www.cyclinglagos.com.

Addressing the event’s theme, “Sustainable Energy,” Adeleye underscored its importance within Nigeria’s current energy challenges. “In a country facing inconsistent power supply, it’s vital for individuals, businesses, governments, and the nation to develop sustainable energy strategies that are realistic, locally grounded, and geared towards long-term resilience,” he stated. “So, I ask—what is your Sustainable Energy Strategy?”

Adeleye also announced that the 2025 edition will feature five participant categories: professionals, celebrities, children, corporate teams, and amateurs.

Cycling Lagos is an annual initiative designed to promote healthy living by encouraging Nigerians to adopt cycling in their communities, with the broader goal of cultivating a vibrant cycling culture nationwide.
