Stanbic IBTC Bank Champions African Excellence with Sponsorship of ‘An Evening of Fashion, Art & Lifestyle’

Stanbic IBTC Bank, part of the Standard Bank Group and one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, reaffirmed its dedication to fostering Nigeria’s creative sector by partnering as a key sponsor of ‘An Evening of Fashion, Art & Lifestyle’. The event served as an exclusive celebration of African luxury fashion and contemporary art.

The private event, held at The Garden within the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos, was hosted by 2207bytbally—one of Africa’s top luxury fashion brands—in collaboration with renowned art collective Torrista. It assembled high-net-worth individuals, art collectors, designers, media personalities, and luxury brand leaders for an unrivaled display of innovation and elegance.

The night commenced with an awe-inspiring runway show, highlighting three signature segments from 2207bytbally’s Evolve collection: Denim, Ethnic, and 2207 Prints. Each ensemble reflected the brand’s meticulous craftsmanship, creative boldness, and cultural storytelling—hallmarks that have established it as a leader in African luxury fashion.

Adding depth to the evening was a curated exhibition by Torrista, transforming the venue into an immersive art gallery. The display featured commissioned artworks exploring themes of culture, femininity, and evolution, fostering a compelling visual dialogue with the runway collections. This showcased the seamless harmony achievable when fashion and fine art intersect.

Tolu Bally, Creative Director of 2207bytbally, expressed: “This evening was about more than clothes or canvases; it was about showing the world that African creativity is limitless. When fashion and art share the same space, magic happens, and tonight, Lagos felt that magic.”

Olu Delano, Executive Director of Personal and Private Banking at Stanbic IBTC Bank, was represented by Layo Ilori-Olaogun, the Head of Private Banking. Layo remarked: “At Stanbic IBTC, we recognise Nigeria’s creative sector as a vital driver of economic diversification, employment, and global cultural influence. We are proud to support the individuals behind these platforms that elevate African excellence and provide visionary talents the visibility that they deserve. Nights like this reaffirm our commitment to continued strategic investment in our artists and designers.”

Guests experienced red-carpet arrivals, curated cocktails, fine dining, live music, and exclusive networking opportunities—all in an atmosphere that reflected the premium standards associated with both the hosting brands and Stanbic IBTC Bank.
