The bank recorded a pre-tax profit of ₦102 billion in 2024, showcasing strong revenue growth and impressive returns on equity. Its unwavering commitment to digital innovation, disciplined execution, and investor-centric strategies set it apart amid fierce competition from industry giants.

The award coincides with Wema Bank’s 80th anniversary, a milestone that underscores its evolution from a regional lender to a forward-thinking, digitally-led national institution. CEO Moruf Oseni expressed pride in the recognition, stating, “This award affirms our bold transformation journey and our dedication to delivering value. As we celebrate eight decades of impact, we remain committed to innovation, trust, and sustainable growth.”

In addition to the top accolade, Wema Bank was also nominated in the highly competitive ‘Company of the Year’ category, standing out as the only financial institution among energy sector leaders.
