NIMN President, Glo’s Digital Head to Drive Thought Leadership at 2026 MediaConsortium Conference and Awards

The organisers of the annual MediaConsortium Conference and Awards (MCCA) have officially revealed that Dr. Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi, President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), and Yinka Opadere, Head of Digital at Globacom Nigeria, will serve as the lead speakers at the highly anticipated 2026 edition.
Dr. Bolajoko will deliver the keynote address, while Yinka Opadere has been confirmed as the Guest Speaker.
The fourth edition of this landmark industry event is scheduled for Friday, 18 September 2026, at the distinguished Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), located in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. The programme will commence promptly at 10:00 AM.
Building on the tremendous success of the 2025 edition, this year’s conference will focus on a topical and vital theme: “The Value Shift: Strategies for the New Market Reality in the Age of the Empowered Consumer.”
As digital transformation, economic realignment, and unprecedented access to information continue to redefine the modern marketplace, the traditional dynamics between brands and consumers have shifted dramatically. Today’s consumers are more informed, selective, and demanding than ever before.
The 2026 MCCA will explore how organisations can adapt their strategies to stay relevant, resilient, and customer-centric amid these rapid changes.
The selection of the NIMN President as the keynote speaker and Opadere, who leads Glo’s digital division, as guest speaker, underscores the event’s commitment to delivering authoritative insights from industry leaders. With their extensive experience, strategic foresight, and deep understanding of local and global market trends, Dr. Bayo-Ajayi and Opadere will provide invaluable perspectives to attendees. Their papers will be examined during a panel discussion featuring seasoned professionals, designed to deepen the dialogue.
Confirmed participants include Adewole Lawal, Group Sustainability Lead at EverCorp, and Okey Umurhowho, Marketing Director at StarTimes.
Organised annually by MediaConsortium, a leading publication in marketing, branding, and business, the MCCA has established itself as a premier platform for thought leadership in Nigeria’s marketing landscape. The 2026 conference aims to bring together a diverse array of stakeholders, including:
– Business leaders and corporate executives seeking innovative growth strategies
– Marketing professionals and brand strategists looking to enhance consumer engagement
– Media practitioners and policymakers shaping industry narratives and regulations
– Entrepreneurs and tech innovators driving disruptive market solutions
– Students and aspiring professionals eager to learn from industry veterans
“The business environment is changing at a breakneck pace, and the consumer is firmly in the driver’s seat,” said organisers. “We are excited to have the NIMN President lead the conversation this year. Attendees can expect actionable, high-impact strategies from a stellar lineup of seasoned Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) professionals who understand how to navigate this new market reality.”
Beyond the intellectual discourse, the event will also host the renowned MediaConsortium Awards. This segment aims to recognise and celebrate outstanding organisations and individuals actively redefining value creation. Awards will spotlight exceptional contributions to customer engagement, corporate innovation, brand resilience, and market relevance.
With an array of panels, masterclasses, and networking sessions carefully curated, the 2026 MCCA promises to be an invaluable hub for knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships.
