Larry Uwajeh Named Rising Star in Digital: Public Sector
Four years of deliberate work in public sector communications earn the LSETF communications lead national recognition

Communications strategist Larry Uwajeh has been named Rising Star in Digital: Public Sector at the Nigeria Digital Public Relations Summit, a platform celebrating excellence, innovation and impact in digital communications and public relations.
The award recognises emerging leaders changing how public institutions present themselves, communicate and connect with people in the digital age.
For Uwajeh, the recognition marks four years of consistent work guided by the belief that public sector communications can resonate with the people it serves.
He is Head of Communications and Promotions at the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), where he has led the organisation’s digital and communications strategy, shaping narratives around employment, entrepreneurship and economic opportunity for Lagos residents.
LSETF was also recognised at the summit, winning **Public Sector Digital Communications of the Year**. The dual recognition reflects the communications culture Uwajeh has helped build at the organisation.

The award is also a personal milestone. Four years ago, Uwajeh entered the communications field convinced that public sector storytelling did not have to be dull, distant or disconnected from its audience. That conviction has informed his campaigns, press releases and digital content ever since.
“Good work, done consistently and with intention, gets seen,” Larry said. “I am still processing it. But I know this belongs to everyone who believed in the work before the recognition came; my coach, my circle, and the people who showed up for me quietly.”

For Uwajeh, the recognition marks a milestone in a career he says is only just beginning.
