ADVAN 2025 African Awards For Marketing Excellence Set to Hold February 22
...To Honour Industry Trailblazers, Brands, Others
Following the strategic rescheduling of its much-anticipated industry event, the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) has announced that it is set to honour industry trailblazers, brands, and others at its annual African Awards for Marketing Excellence, scheduled for Saturday, 22nd February 2025.
The event, which is billed to commence by 5 PM at the Admiralty Conference Centre, Naval Dockyard, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, is recognized as the most prestigious marketing award in Africa, focused on innovation and impact in the marketing industry.
The event will host top marketing professionals, government officials, industry leaders, and CEOs of multinational corporations, making it a key gathering for Africa’s marketing elite.
According to the organisers, the 2025 edition of the awards-themed “Controlled Chaos: Mastering Marketing in a Hyper-Connected World” reflects the rapidly evolving marketing landscape, where brands must navigate fragmented consumer attention, unpredictable trends, and overwhelming digital content.
Commenting on the theme, Manpreet Singh, Chief Marketing Officer of Tolaram Group and Chairman of the Awards Planning Committee, said “We live in an era where consumer attention is fragmented like never before. Traditional marketing playbooks have become outdated, and new strategies—while promising—often feel like a trial-and-error game. Yet, some brands consistently cut through the clutter by embracing unpredictability, staying agile, and experimenting relentlessly while remaining authentic and human,” he explained.
Other foremost marketing professionals join Manpreet Singh as planning committee members. They include Sandra Amachree, Head Marketing Communications, Nigeria Breweries Plc; Funmilayo Osineye, Business Manager Nestle Plc; and ADVAN Executive Council members.
This year’s ADVAN Awards has some new exciting award categories including Best Use of AI – Recognising brands leveraging artificial intelligence for innovative marketing campaigns;
Industry Builder Award – Honouring top entrepreneurs and CEOs who have made remarkable contributions to their industries; and Public Sector Brand of the Year Award – Celebrating government agencies that have effectively used perception marketing to promote policies and build sustainable brands among others.
