AXA Mansard Investment Urges Nigerians to Prioritise Long-Term Financial Wellbeing

AXA Mansard Investment Limited is using its Culture of Care campaign to highlight the role financial security can play in helping individuals, families and communities build resilience and plan for the future.
Speaking at the campaign’s unveiling, Deji Tunde-Anjous, Chief Executive Officer of AXA Mansard Investment Limited, said care extends beyond meeting immediate needs to include helping people achieve financial security and peace of mind.
“Financial security is one of the most powerful forms of protection,” said Tunde-Anjous. “It allows people to face uncertainty with greater confidence, pursue opportunities with courage, and build futures that are not defined by fear or vulnerability.”
He noted that many Nigerians support children, employees, extended family members and other dependants, while giving less attention to their own long-term financial wellbeing. Tunde-Anjous said these responsibilities highlight the importance of financial preparedness.
The campaign aims to broaden the idea of protection by encouraging people to consider long-term financial resilience alongside their immediate needs.
“Saving, investing, planning for retirement, building wealth, and preparing for future responsibilities are all acts of care,” he said. “They are ways people protect not only themselves, but also the people who depend on them.”
According to Tunde-Anjous, financially secure households are better placed to manage economic disruptions, invest in education and pursue business opportunities. He said stronger household finances can also support more sustainable economic growth.
“A prosperous nation is built on financially secure people,” he said. “When individuals have the tools and confidence to prepare for the future, they make better decisions, seize opportunities, and contribute more meaningfully to economic growth.”
AXA Mansard Investment said the Culture of Care campaign recognises protection in several forms, including healthcare, insurance and financial security. The company said its work focuses on helping individuals use disciplined investing, wealth preservation and long-term planning to turn current earnings into future opportunities.
Tunde-Anjous said the campaign’s wider aim is to encourage a mindset centred on preparation and resilience, rather than simply promote products.
“The deepest expression of care is ensuring that the people we love, and the futures we are building, remain protected long after today’s challenges have passed,” he said. “When more Nigerians are financially secure, families become stronger, communities become more resilient, and the nation becomes more prosperous.”
Through the campaign, AXA Mansard Investment said it aims to advance financial wellbeing and encourage Nigerians to view financial planning as an act of care for themselves, their families and future generations.
