Bobo Food and Beverages Partners with AI4Africa to Cultivate Tech Talent, Empower Youths with AI Skills

...as AI4Africa launches ‘120-Day AI Revolution’ and a bid to break 10 Guinness World Records within 24 hours

Adeola Eka, the visionary technology strategist known as the ‘AI Wonder Woman’, has launched the AI4Africa movement to transform one million young Africans into artificial intelligence creators through a series of high-impact educational initiatives starting this August. By leveraging Africa’s vast youth population and its unique socio-economic challenges, the movement aims to shift the continent from a passive consumer of global technology to a proactive leader in AI innovation and problem-solving.

The initiative was officially unveiled during a landmark press conference held in Lagos, where Eka, the Convener of AI4Africa, joined forces with corporate partners to detail an ambitious roadmap for democratising tech literacy across the continent.

For Eka, the drive behind the movement is deeply personal. A survivor of Sickle Cell Anaemia, she recounted how she defied medical expectations to become an “AI Wonder Woman” and a strategist. “Not as a victim of my circumstances but as someone who believes that every challenge can become a purpose,” she told the audience. She argued that the current AI revolution will not wait for Africa, stating: “We must decide whether we will simply consume the future or help create it. We don’t want African children to merely use AI. We want them to build AI”.

To achieve this, Eka announced the “100 Kids in 10,000 Schools” programme, alongside the “120-Day AI Revolution”—a multi-platform campaign featuring a podcast, talk show, and reality TV show starting on 1st August. “We can actually lead as Africans in AI because we have… the largest amount of youth population and then we have so many problems. When you find problems, you find solutions,” Eka explained.

The movement has secured a strategic partnership with Bobo Food and Beverages, supporting the Boboliscious Summer Camp. This adventure-based training programme is designed to turn learning into an “adventure” where children solve real-world problems.

Kelechi Jude Anoruo-Dibia, Head of Marketing at Bobo Food and Beverages, noted that the brand was drawn to Eka’s “vision, her drive, and her passion to use AI to enlighten and train our youth”. He emphasised that the partnership extends beyond product nourishment to talent development, stating: “It is a camp that will enlighten all of our kids, make them creators, make them innovative, and make them leaders of tomorrow”.

Further demonstrating its global ambition, AI4Africa is planning a Guinness World Record attempt to break ten records in 24 hours within the AI space. Eka insisted this is a message to the world that “Africa is ready” to lead rather than follow.

With the 120-day campaign imminent, AI4Africa is setting the stage for a generation that will not just participate in the future, but actively help shape it.
