Igwe Okeke, Managing Director, Carat Nigeria

Carat Nigeria and its client Beiersdorf have received a Special Recognition Award for regulatory compliance at the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) Special Recognition Awards (ASRA) 2026.

The recognition, in the Body Care and Hygiene category, was based on the partners’ record of regulatory compliance and consistent adherence to advertising standards, according to ARCON records.

Carat Nigeria is an independent media agency and part of the MediaFuse-Dentsu Nigeria network. Beiersdorf is one of the agency’s major clients.

Carat Nigeria Managing Director Igwe Okeke said the award was a source of pride for the agency’s team.

“I sincerely appreciate ARCON for this recognition and for its continued commitment to promoting professionalism, accountability and ethical standards within Nigeria’s advertising industry,” he said.

According to him, this award is particularly meaningful because it reinforces our belief that excellence in advertising must go hand in hand with responsibility, integrity and regulatory compliance. “At Carat, we recognize that compliance is not simply an obligation; it is a fundamental part of building trust, protecting consumers and contributing to the growth and credibility of our industry.”

Congratulating Beiersdorf, Okeke said the recognition reflected the strength of the partnership and their shared commitment to responsible, impactful and compliant communication.

“It is a testament to what can be achieved when agencies and clients work collaboratively, with a common understanding of the importance of doing things the right way,” he said.

Okeke also praised the Carat Nigeria team for its contribution to the achievement.

“This recognition belongs to every member of the team who consistently upholds the standards we believe in. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to raising the bar, championing responsible advertising practices and contributing meaningfully to the continued development of Nigeria’s media and advertising ecosystem.

“Thank you, ARCON, for this award. We are honoured, encouraged and inspired to do even more,” he added.

ARCON Director-General Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo said the agency and its client had demonstrated a strong commitment to ethical advertising, regulatory compliance, professional excellence and the advancement of the industry.

“Recognition of excellence is not merely about celebrating past achievements; it is also about encouraging greater commitment to the values and standards that will shape the future of our industry,” he said.
