Content is Now Taking its Rightful Position in the Scheme of Things in Nigeria- Yinka Adebayo
The Group Executive Director, Omnicom Media Group, Yinka Adebayo has stated that today more quality contents are now being produced than the pre-pandemic era by both local and foreign players in the country and that has helped redefine the media landscape.
He made the assertion recently after the announcement of the kick-off of the Famous American TV show ‘The Price is Right’ in Nigeria by the organisers recently.
He said “The Media is indeed a monster that feeds mainly on contents. I once raised a poser that “if truly CONTENT IS KING, how many have we crowned?”
“The pandemic clearly revealed to us all that we have just been paying lip-service to content by not giving it adequate & deserved support in Nigeria despite the abundance of quality talents in the all areas of creative.
“Glad to note that content is now taking its rightful position in the scheme of things as both local and foreign players are now warming up to the plate in Nigeria.”
Speaking on the impact the show will make in the Nigerian market, he pointed out that “As the World’s longest running & most popular game show makes its debut on Nigeria Media scene viewing time is set to be and very rewarding.
“Once THE PRICE IS RIGHT, consumers and brands CANNOT afford to go WRONG!”
Noteworthy, the relaunch of “The Price Is Right” in Nigeria is not just a comeback, according to Genesis Studios, which are the local production company of the iconic game show; it is a celebration of an “amazing global franchise” which holds the prestigious title of being the longest-running game show in the world, having excited millions of international viewers for decades.
