DHL Group, a global leader in logistics, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the e-commerce platform Temu to strengthen their collaborative efforts and expand their successful partnership. This agreement is designed to enhance support for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in both mature markets and growth regions, including Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The partnership emphasizes compliant trade and sustainable business practices.

DHL’s logistical expertise, including multimodal transportation solutions, will facilitate more efficient and sustainable supply chain services for Temu. With its extensive global network, DHL is positioned as the ideal partner to aid Temu’s growth across established and emerging markets.

“Through our various DHL divisions, we already deliver a wide range of logistics services, from air freight to last-mile delivery. We are thrilled to elevate our partnership with Temu. By merging our logistics capabilities with Temu’s innovative platform, we can develop solutions that are efficient, compliant, and beneficial for both consumers and local businesses in the regions we serve,” said Katja Busch, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation.

Under the terms of the MoU, DHL will support Temu’s operations in Europe, particularly its local-to-local initiative, which allows local merchandise partners to sell on the platform and promotes local fulfillment. Temu anticipates that this local-to-local model will account for up to 80% of its total sales in Europe. Furthermore, the platform aims to enable European sellers to access global markets, providing SMEs with opportunities for scaling and expansion. DHL will also assist Temu in enhancing its presence in e-commerce markets across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions.

“This agreement represents a significant advancement in our partnership with DHL Group. Their extensive network and logistics capabilities are vital to our mission of increasing consumer access to affordable products while creating growth opportunities for sellers,” stated Qin Sun, co-founder of Temu.
