Egbin Power Advances SDG 4 with Launch of 11th Annual Scholarship Programme
Egbin Power has officially launched the 11th edition of its renowned scholarship initiative, further demonstrating its dedication to fostering quality education and empowering youth within its host communities. The programme underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which emphasizes “inclusive and equitable quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for all.”
As part of its Personal Corporate Social Responsibility (PCSR) strategy, the scholarship offers free, high-quality education to outstanding students selected from primary and secondary schools across communities where Egbin Power operates. This year’s edition kicked off with a pre-test event that saw participation from over 250 students, highlighting the program’s broad reach and community engagement.
The initiative also features an array of activities, including an education fair, boot camp, mentorship sessions, and playgroup activities. These components are designed to bolster academic achievement while fostering essential skills such as discipline, confidence, and leadership—preparing students for future success.
