EMCOAN Inaugurates New Executive, Vows to Elevate Nigerian Media Content in Global Arena

In a landmark ceremony held at the EMCOAN Secretariat on Thursday, 7 May 2026, the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) announced a new chapter in its leadership, signalling renewed vigour and strategic direction for the organisation and Nigeria’s vibrant media industry.
The event marked a historic moment as the association’s elections concluded, ushering in a dynamic team of industry veterans and emerging leaders poised to steer the organisation through the rapidly evolving landscape of digital and terrestrial content.
In a ceremony characterised by camaraderie and shared vision, the newly elected executives were formally sworn into office by notable figures in the industry, including Madam Agatha Amata of Inside Out Media Ltd. and High Chief Emeka Ossai, a renowned veteran actor and producer, and Managing Director of Golden Pyramids Production. Their involvement signified a seamless transition of leadership and a reaffirmation of the association’s core mission to champion local content creators.
The 2026–2028 Executive Council, led by returning President Mr. Adeniji Omirin, Managing Director of Adnom Media Ltd., brings together a wealth of experience across Nigeria’s media sector. The team’s composition reflects a strategic blend of innovation and tradition, with key figures such as Alhaja Aminah Muhammad, Managing Director of Aims Media Company Ltd., serving as Vice President, and Mr. Alayande Stephen T., Managing Director of Eagles House Global Resources, returning for his fourth term as General Secretary.
The cabinet is further strengthened by industry stalwarts including Mrs. Adeola Dada of Charis Media Consulting Ltd., who continues as Assistant General Secretary; Dr. Anita Agarry-Oke of Zee Media Services Ltd., returning for her fifth term as Financial Secretary; Mrs. Elizabeth Ehigiamusoe of Vivid View with Ehiliz Ltd., elected Treasurer; and Mr. Sebastine Okoromi of Romistine Media Ltd., appointed Public Relations Officer. Other officers include Hajia Latifah Dele-Lawal of HT Ventures Ltd, elected Social/Welfare Secretary, and Mrs. Stella Maris Duru of Chuchin Ultimate Productions Ltd., serving as Assistant Social/Welfare Secretary.
Expressing his optimism for the future, President Mr. Adeniji Omirin affirmed, “As seasoned leaders within the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN), our commitment remains steadfast: to protect the interests of our members, as well as electronic media content creators in Nigeria while driving innovation in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Let me also say that work begins earnestly to tackle industry challenges and harness new opportunities for Nigerian content creators globally.”
