EXMAN Sets New Industry Standards with Governance Reforms and Pricing Framework

The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) has announced strategic initiatives aimed at elevating professionalism, fostering collaboration, and setting industry standards, following its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Under the theme “Collaboration as Currency,” the three-day event convened leading figures from Nigeria’s top experiential marketing agencies to discuss the future trajectory of the industry, reinforce professional ethics, and chart a sustainable growth plan.
In her opening remarks, EXMAN President Tolulope Medebem emphasized the importance of partnership in a rapidly evolving marketing landscape:
“The future of our industry will not be built by individual brilliance alone. It will be built by partnerships—between agencies, clients, regulators, academia and emerging talent. When we collaborate, we learn faster, innovate better, solve bigger challenges and ultimately create greater value for our clients, our businesses and our profession.”
A key highlight of the AGM was the presentation of two pivotal governance documents—the revised EXMAN Scope of Practice and Code of Conduct. These frameworks are designed to uphold ethical standards, define professional boundaries, and serve as a blueprint for the sustained growth of experiential marketing in Nigeria.
In a landmark resolution, members also committed to developing an EXMAN Industry Pricing Benchmark. This initiative aims to establish a credible, industry-wide standard that promotes consistency, professionalism, and fair pricing practices—while recognizing the value of creative expertise and quality service delivery. The framework will be developed through extensive consultation with member agencies to reflect market realities and enhance the industry’s collective voice on value creation.
To facilitate these developments, members approved an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to finalize the review and ratification of the updated governance documents, reaffirming EXMAN’s commitment to inclusive and transparent decision-making.
Beyond governance, EXMAN reaffirmed its dedication to nurturing industry talent by engaging with students from the University of Uyo. During an interactive session, members shared insights into experiential marketing careers, emphasizing innovation, strategic thinking, and creativity as vital to building successful brands.
Reflecting on the AGM’s significance, Medebem highlighted that EXMAN’s mission extends beyond member support to the broader development of the profession:
“Professionalism is not defined only by creativity; it is also reflected in the standards we uphold, the ethics we practice and the value we place on our expertise. As an Association, we have a responsibility to build institutions, establish standards and create opportunities for those who will come after us. By working together, we are building an industry that is stronger, more respected and better positioned for sustainable growth.”
The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Akwa Ibom State Government, where they were welcomed by the Commissioner for Information, Hon. Aniekan Umanah, who praised EXMAN for selecting Uyo as the host city for its 2026 AGM.
The resolutions from Uyo mark a new chapter for EXMAN—focused on strengthening governance, fostering ethical business practices, elevating professional standards, and encouraging collaboration across Nigeria’s experiential marketing ecosystem.
As EXMAN embarks on implementing these initiatives, the organization remains committed to positioning Nigeria’s experiential marketing industry for greater innovation, institutional resilience, and increased global competitiveness.
