FNIPA Fellow, Uche Onyegbu Appointed as Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko

The Federal Government has appointed Mr Uche Onyegbu a fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Public Administrators (FNIPA), as the new Acting Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Oko Anambra State of Nigeria.

The appointment came as the tenure of the Engr Franca Nwafulugo came to an end on the 2nd of February, 2024.

For seventeen unbroken years, he served four consecutive Rectors meritoriously as Secretary and left for classroom when the ovation was loudest.

By the time he veered into lecturing, he had garnered sufficient experience that stood him out as a well grounded administrator and academic.

Apart from his professional certificate in secretary-ship, he holds a B.SC, M.SC and MPA in Public Administration and is on the verge of completing his doctoral programme in one of the leading Universities in Nigeria.

He is also a member of Nigerian Institute of Management Fellow Professional Secretaries of Nigeria (FPSN).

He has held the following positions: Lecturer-in-charge, Public Administration (Week-End Programme), Coordinator, Pre – ND (Business) – during which period the programme was accredited by the NBTE, Head, Dept of Public Administration,
Director, Student Industrial Works Experience Scheme (SIWES),
Chairman, Polytechnic Central Exams Committee, Director, Academic Planning, Deputy Rector, (Academics).

He has also served in the following Committees as: Chairman, Interface Committee; Chairman, Accreditation Committee; Chairman, Management/ASUP Negotiation Committee on CEP Allowances Payment Resolution.
