Golden Penny Food And Soup Festival Creates a Memorable Day in Owerri

Owerri was buzzing with excitement as the Golden Penny Food and Soup Festival brought food, music, and entertainment together for a memorable day of fun and celebration.
From the music and food to the vibrant atmosphere, every part of the festival was designed to give guests an enjoyable experience from the moment they arrived.
It was a celebration that brought together great food, entertainment, and plenty of memorable moments. There was plenty of food to go around, with stall after stall showcasing a variety of Golden Penny Foods. Guests enjoyed breakfast and lunch options throughout the day, while the evening brought the opening of the Soup Village, featuring more than 20 different soups for guests to explore and enjoy.
The Breakfast Zone got the day started with a variety of breakfast options for guests to enjoy. By noon, the Lunch Zone was serving up varieties of pasta, noodles, and small chops, giving guests plenty of options to choose from throughout the afternoon.

The Soup Village was a highlight of the festival, with over 20 soups served in their own pots and paired with Golden Penny Semovita. Guests had the chance to explore a variety of soups and enjoy them with their favourite swallow, with bowls being served throughout the evening.
But the festival wasn’t just about eating; it was about learning. Three masterclasses, three culinary voices. Joseph’s Pot, Chef Eazi, and Chef Nengi took turns sharing the secrets behind great cooking and great food businesses.

From technique to strategy, guests left with more than a full stomach. They left with skills to match.
Chief Imo and Rachael Okonkwo kept the energy high throughout the festival. From dancing and entertaining the crowd to hyping contestants and sharing plenty of laughs, the duo brought their personalities to the event and kept guests engaged from start to finish.
The cook-offs added a competitive edge to the festival, as contestants went head-to-head to prepare a variety of soups, including Egusi, Ogbono, Ofe Ugu, and Okro, all paired with Golden Penny Semovita. At the end of the competition, Team Okro Soup took home the grand prize!
The local dancing troupe kicked off the entertainment with an energetic performance that got the crowd engaged.

The entertainment continued with performances from Evado, Anyidons, and Tuff King, while hype man Marc Swargz kept the audience entertained and the energy high throughout the evening.
