inDrive’s Unique Business Model: Prioritizing Fair Compensation for Ride-Hailing Drivers

The ride-hailing industry has experienced significant growth in Nigeria in recent years, providing millions of people with a convenient and efficient mode of transportation. However, despite this growth, many drivers struggle to earn a decent income due to low fares and high commissions, which results in financial hardship for them.

As a responsible and ethical player in the industry, inDrive recognizes the need for a sustainable business model that enables drivers to earn higher profits. In contrast to traditional ride-hailing companies, inDrive allows drivers to negotiate their own price directly with riders, providing them with more control over their income. Additionally, inDrive takes a lower commission of 10% (which is up to 20% lower than traditional ride-hailing service providers), further enabling drivers to keep more of their earnings.

We believe that a business model that prioritizes fair compensation for drivers will lead to a more motivated and satisfied workforce and a stronger gig economy, ultimately resulting in a better passenger experience. We are committed to working with all industry stakeholders, including policymakers, driver associations, and customers, in making this model widely available in the country.

We understand that the success of the ride-hailing industry depends on the satisfaction and well-being of our drivers. Therefore, we are committed to creating a sustainable and fair business model that benefits all parties involved. We believe that this goal can be achieved through collaboration and cooperation among all stakeholders.
