LaPRIGA Holds Dec 2 As Organisers Record 120 Entries
The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has concluded plans to hold its seventh edition of Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala and Award (LaPRIGA) on Friday, December 2.
The award themed: “Hall of Fame”, will hold at D’podium International Event Center, Ikeja, Lagos, at 5pm.
The chapter disclosed that it received 120 entries, the highest number of entries since the commencement of the awards seven years ago.
Chairman, NIPR, Lagos, Comfort Nwankwo, noted that the institute will be recognising public relations practitioners, stakeholders and organisations that have contributed to the development of the industry.
She said one of the high points of this year’s award will be the induction of previous winners of the PR practitioners of the year category into the Hall of Fame.
“This category is the numero uno of the LaPRIGA award.”
The new categories are Best in Technology Public Relations, Best in Public Relations Education, Best in Hospitality PR, Best in Political Communication, Best in Entertainment PR and the Best Use of Research & Measurement.
Chido Nwakanma, Chairman, Selection Committee for LaPRIGA 2022, said LaPRIGA 2022 has received tremendous positive response “We received 120 entries for this year’s award, which is the highest number of entries since the commencement of LaPRIGA 7 years ago.
“We are excited about the quality of entries.We will do our best to ensure the very best emerges tops.”
According to Nwakanma, other award categories cover Public Relations Practitioner of the year, Corporate Communication Professional of the Year, Most Influential PR professional, and Outstanding Public Affairs Practitioner of the Year.
Others are the Best brand in storytelling, the Best innovation in Public Relations, Digital and social media agency of the Year, Rising Public Relations Practitioner of the Year, Best in (Crisis and Risk Communication and Excellence in Internal Communication and Employee Engagement.
“Professionals would win for Excellence in Community Relations, Best in Political Communication, Best in Corporate Social Responsibility, and Best Supporter of PR. LaPRIGA would recognise the Agency of the year, Model Agency of all time, Public Relations Journalist of the year,” Nwakanma said.
