LG Electronics has reinforced its presence in Nigeria’s home-appliance market after its MoodUP™ Refrigerator received recognition at the BRANDCOM Awards 2026 in Lagos on Saturday, 24 October.
The award highlights LG’s continued investment in appliances that combine design, smart technology and practical features for everyday use. The company says its refrigerators are developed to meet consumers’ needs for reliable food preservation, energy efficiency and long-term value.
MoodUP™ features customisable LED door panels, smart connectivity and a contemporary design, giving users the option to personalise their kitchen. LG presents the refrigerator as part of a wider approach to turning household appliances into connected lifestyle products.
The company’s broader refrigerator range includes top-freezer, bottom-freezer and side-by-side models, as well as premium options for larger households. The GN-F452PFAQ Top Freezer Refrigerator, for example, includes FRESH Converter+™, which lets users adjust the temperature for different types of food, and an automatic ice maker.
Selected models also feature technologies such as Smart Inverter Compressor™, LINEARCooling™ and DoorCooling+™. LG says these are designed to support efficient operation, consistent cooling and food freshness. Some side-by-side and flagship models offer further features, including InstaView™ Door-in-Door, smart connectivity and advanced water dispensers.
Oktai Kim, General Manager of Home Appliances Solutions at LG Electronics, said the recognition affirmed the company’s focus on creating technology that improves daily life.
“Innovation is most meaningful when it improves everyday life for consumers. The recognition of LG MoodUP™ reflects our commitment to developing technologies that respond to changing lifestyles and expectations,” he said. “In Nigeria, we remain focused on delivering refrigeration solutions that combine efficient performance, reliability and lasting value.”
Kim added that LG aims to make innovation something consumers experience in their homes, rather than simply admire.
The award also puts a spotlight on the role of design and consumer-focused research in the home-appliance sector. LG said it would continue developing refrigeration products that balance advanced features with the needs of Nigerian households.
