Meta has announced the rollout of a new generative AI video editing feature, available across the Meta AI app, Meta.AI website, and the Edits app. This innovative tool aims to make high-quality video editing accessible to everyone, regardless of technical expertise, by leveraging advanced AI prompts to transform short videos with ease.

The feature allows users to upload a brief clip and choose from over 50 preset prompts to reimagine their content. For example, users can turn a simple video into a graphic novel, create a dreamy atmosphere with lighting effects, or even convert footage into a stylized video game scene. The edits can be shared seamlessly on Facebook and Instagram, directly from the platform.

Meta emphasizes that this is just the beginning. “Inspired by our Movie Gen models, this new feature is the first step toward enabling users to edit videos with their own text prompts later this year,” said a Meta spokesperson. “Our goal is to empower everyone to experiment creatively and share engaging content effortlessly.”
