Mixology, Murals and Memorable Moments: Gordon’s Turns Lagos Cocktail Week into an Interactive Brand Experience

At Lagos Cocktail Week 2026, Gordon’s brought cocktails, creativity and social connection together, transforming its event space into a hub for interactive experiences and entertainment.
Held on October 22 and 23 at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, the festival welcomed cocktail lovers, creatives, mixologists and lifestyle enthusiasts. At Gordon’s space, guests could enjoy more than a drink: they were invited to take part in activities designed to make the experience their own.
Mixologists served a selection of cocktails made with Gordon’s gin, while a large interactive mural gave guests the chance to contribute their own colours and brushstrokes. As more people joined in, the artwork became a shared creation shaped by the festival’s visitors.
The programme also featured the Gordon’s Mixologist Challenge, with Nollywood actor Mike Afolarin and lifestyle creator Jima Emmanuel stepping behind the bar to demonstrate their cocktail-making skills. Guests watched, tasted the drinks and voted for their favourite. Mike emerged as the winner, earning the title of Chief Mixology Officer for the night.
Guests could also take a break from the cocktails with customised ice cream, choosing their own toppings and sauces, or gather with friends at a colourful photo installation to capture the moment.
Across the activation, guests were encouraged to participate—whether by painting the mural, watching the mixology challenge, creating content or sharing time with friends. The approach placed audience engagement at the heart of the brand experience.
According to Olusegun Akinyemiju, Head of White Spirits – MSS, the activation was designed to go beyond the bar.
“At this year’s event, our goal was to create an experience that goes far beyond just grabbing a cocktail. We wanted to build an environment where great company meets exceptional mixology, creating a space where people can genuinely connect, spark their creative passions, and let the good times unfold naturally into memorable moments,” he stated
For Gordon’s, the experience reflected its idea of “Good Times”: spontaneous moments, shared laughter and activities that bring people together. At Lagos Cocktail Week 2026, the brand combined mixology with creative and social elements, putting guests and their participation at the centre of the activation.
