MTN’s Live It 100 on Campus at DELSU Culminates in Car Giveaway

Thousands of students at Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, flocked to the campus for MTN’s highly anticipated Live It 100 on Campus activation — a dynamic three-day event celebrating entertainment, gaming, brand experiences, and rewarding young Nigerians with exciting prizes, including a brand-new car.
Taking place from Wednesday, 17th to Friday, 19th June 2026, the event transformed Campus 3 into a vibrant centre of activity, offering students a blend of interactive games, engaging experiences, and entertainment programmes carefully curated to inspire and reward the youth.
At the grand finale, Temilolu Salako, Senior Manager of Segment Marketing (Youth, Women, and Teens) at MTN Nigeria, highlighted the initiative’s significance. “This programme reflects MTN’s commitment to supporting young Nigerians beyond connectivity by creating opportunities for engagement, empowerment, and recreation,” she stated.
She emphasised that MTN Pulse is designed to connect with young people in meaningful ways that support both their academic pursuits and personal aspirations. “MTN Pulse is an impactful campus initiative created to celebrate and empower young people. We aim to give students the platform to learn, connect, showcase their talents, and create memorable experiences while on campus,” Salako added.
The activation’s success has seen it expand across numerous tertiary institutions nationwide, underscoring MTN’s broader dedication to youth development and engagement.
Representatives from DELSU’s university management lauded the initiative, describing it as a valuable addition to student welfare and wellbeing. Prof. Vincent Efebeh, Dean of Students’ Affairs, who spoke on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, praised MTN’s ongoing investment in young Nigerians and its efforts to foster a balanced environment of learning, recreation, and community engagement. “This activation has provided students with a much-needed avenue to relax, interact, and recharge outside the classroom,” he remarked.
The President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Comrade Kingsley Dumuje, also expressed his support, noting that the programme resonated strongly with students. “This initiative demonstrates MTN’s understanding of what matters to students beyond academics — entertainment, engagement, and meaningful rewards — all in a way that truly connects with young people,” he said.
The highlight of the event was the final-day raffle draw, where Joyce Obarakpor, a 200-level Nursing Science student, was announced as the lucky winner of a brand-new car, igniting cheers and excitement across the venue.
Expressing her gratitude, Obarakpor shared, “I had imagined winning before the event, and I want to dedicate this win to my mother — she has been my greatest support system. My mum is going to be very excited because she has sacrificed so much to ensure my siblings and I attend school. I just want to say thank you to MTN. I’m very happy and very excited.”
Live It 100 on Campus is a key component of MTN Pulse’s youth engagement strategy, designed to foster meaningful connections with students through experiences that blend entertainment, education, and opportunities — strengthening the brand’s relationship with young Nigerians across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
