PEARL Awards Limited, the foremost independent awards initiative recognizing exceptional performance among companies on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), has appointed UPTICOMM Marketing Company Limited as its official Sponsorship Marketing Consultant for the celebrations of its 30th anniversary.

Since its inception in 1995, the PEARL Awards have maintained rigorous standards of excellence, utilizing empirical data to honor companies that demonstrate remarkable operational and stock market achievements. As it commemorates three decades of fostering transparency and good corporate governance in the Nigerian capital market, the upcoming anniversary will encompass a series of prestigious events.

“The choice of UPTICOMM as our Marketing Consultants for this significant milestone underscores both their impressive track record and our mutual dedication to integrity and performance,” remarked Tayo Orekoya, President/CEO of PEARL Awards Limited. “For 30 years, the PEARL Awards have set the standard for excellence, and we trust that UPTICOMM will harness their expertise to ensure the success of our anniversary celebrations.”

Segun McMedal, President/CEO of UPTICOMM Marketing Company, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to help shape the PEARL Awards’ legacy. “We are privileged to partner with PEARL Awards and are dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomes. This 30th anniversary represents a pivotal moment for corporate Nigeria to recognize and support the awards’ lasting influence on the capital market,” McMedal stated.

This strategic collaboration was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) last Friday at the PEARL Awards Secretariat, attended by key officials from both organizations, including Lekan Adekoya, Secretary of the PEARL Awards Board of Governors; Olisemeka Obi, Project Manager; and Dotun Afolabi, Executive Director of Finance and Administration at UPTICOMM.

To kick off the anniversary festivities, PEARL Awards Limited will host a Corporate Summit on June 24, 2025, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The Summit, themed “Built to Last: A Roadmap for Corporate Nigeria,” will bring together prominent business leaders, corporate executives, and CEOs to explore strategies for achieving sustainable excellence in today’s business environment.

A key highlight of the Summit will be the public unveiling of the second edition of “Winning Strategies of Nigeria’s Corporate Giants,” a special publication celebrating the 30th anniversary. This event will serve as a precursor to the 2025 PEARL Awards Nite, set to take place in November 2025.

Endorsed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) since 2003, the PEARL Awards continues to be a respected and esteemed platform for honoring and celebrating corporate excellence in Nigeria.
