Polaris Bank to Recognise Customers and Service Champions During Customer Service Week

Polaris Bank will join organisations worldwide to mark Customer Service Week from October 5 to 9, under the theme “The Extra Mile.”
The theme reflects the Bank’s commitment to putting customers at the centre of its business and continually improving their banking experience. The annual celebration also gives Polaris Bank an opportunity to appreciate customers, recognise employees who deliver exceptional service and reinforce customer-centricity across the organisation.
The Bank’s previous Customer Service Week themes have highlighted different aspects of its service culture. In 2020, “Dream Team” recognised employees’ collective efforts to sustain service delivery during a challenging period. The 2021 and 2022 celebrations focused on service excellence, customer appreciation and delivering value through meaningful relationships. In 2023, “Team Service” emphasised collaboration in creating seamless customer experiences. The 2024 celebration continued the focus on service excellence and engagement, while 2025’s “Mission: Possible” recognised employees’ efforts to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional experiences.
Polaris Bank’s customer experience efforts have also received external recognition. In the 2022 KPMG Customer Experience Survey, the Bank was reported as the most improved bank in the retail segment, rising five places to sixth position.
Speaking ahead of this year’s celebration, Polaris Bank Managing Director and CEO Kayode Lawal reaffirmed the importance of customers to the Bank’s growth.
“Customers are at the heart of everything we do. Their feedback, trust and partnership challenge us to keep improving and delivering value every day. Customer Service Week is an opportunity to recognise that relationship and remind ourselves that great service must go beyond expectation,” he said.
The 2026 theme reflects the changing expectations of banking customers. Going the extra mile can involve listening more closely, resolving issues faster, providing clearer information, anticipating customer needs, simplifying processes or showing empathy when it matters most.
Polaris Bank said its service commitment spans its physical and digital channels, including its branch and business network, contact centre and digital banking platforms such as VULTe. The Bank continues to focus on providing a consistent, responsive experience across these touchpoints.
During the week, the Bank plans to engage customers and recognise service champions through activities across its branches, digital channels and other customer touchpoints. It will also invite customer feedback and use insights to support ongoing service improvements.
As Customer Service Week approaches, Polaris Bank says it remains focused on making exceptional service an everyday practice. The Bank views “The Extra Mile” not only as the week’s theme, but as a commitment to making every customer interaction count.
