Salesforce and Google Expand AI Capabilities in Agentforce 360 and Gemini
Salesforce and Google have announced an expanded partnership aimed at revolutionizing enterprise AI capabilities. This new collaboration introduces advanced integrations of Google’s Gemini models into Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 platform, driving innovation and efficiency for businesses.
The enhanced partnership emphasizes boosting employee productivity by connecting Agentforce 360 with Google Workspace for sales and IT services. Additionally, the integration of Salesforce’s Gemini AI into more Google Workspace tools—beyond Gmail—creates a unified, intelligent experience across platforms.
For both employees and customers, these developments enable seamless, context-aware interactions at every touchpoint, fostering trust and setting a new industry benchmark for smart, connected customer engagement.
Gemini-Powered AI and Next-Gen Agent Interoperability
Customers can now leverage Gemini models to enhance Salesforce’s Atlas Reasoning Engine—the core of Agentforce—expanding its capacity to handle complex, multistep enterprise challenges. The Gemini models’ multimodal intelligence enables hybrid reasoning, allowing AI agents within Salesforce to deliver more accurate and reliable results.
Furthermore, Salesforce and Google are advancing large action models—AI that automates not just language processing but also business processes. Fine-tuned Gemini models now outperform leading large language models (LLMs) on key CRM benchmarks, enabling more precise automation of complex workflows.
“In enterprise settings, AI agents must be both highly capable and consistent, especially for mission-critical tasks,” said Silvio Savarese, Chief Scientist at Salesforce. “Together, we’re establishing new standards for what’s possible in the Agentic Enterprise, right down to the model level.”
The joint effort also promotes open standards such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A), facilitating multi-agent collaboration across platforms and domains—building on Agentforce 360’s orchestration capabilities to connect agents, data, and tools seamlessly.
Building an AI-Driven Workforce with Google Workspace, Gemini, and Agentforce 360
Salesforce and Google’s longstanding partnership continues to evolve with the integration of Google Workspace into Agentforce 360, Salesforce’s latest AI agent platform. This integration allows users to access Salesforce Customer 360 apps—like Agentforce Sales and Service—directly within Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Meet, Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Slides.
For example, a website visitor clicking a link can trigger an Agentforce Sales conversation in Gmail, qualify the lead, and schedule meetings via Google Calendar. Similarly, sales teams can securely access CRM data and insights across Gemini and Google Workspace apps, streamlining workflows.
The new Agentforce IT Service solution also offers out-of-the-box Google integrations, enabling IT teams to automate access management, enhance device security with ChromeOS, and analyze service trends using Looker.
“Deepening Google Workspace integration with Gemini and Salesforce can significantly transform team productivity,” said George Kwon, VP of Product Management for Google Workspace. “This unified AI-driven approach helps teams across sales, service, and IT make smarter decisions—all within the tools they use daily.”
Gemini Enterprise and Slack: Powering the Agentic Era
The collaboration extends to Slack, with Gemini Enterprise integrating via Slack’s Real-Time Search API. This allows Gemini to access and respond based on organizations’ current conversations and files, enabling swift insights and actions.
A new Gemini Enterprise agent within Slack also facilitates bidirectional workflows, where users can interact with AI directly within Slack to get instant summaries, insights, and carry out tasks—grounded in real-time organizational data.
