TheatreMania Africa Partners with Corona Secondary School Agbara to Launch Historic Youth Theatre Initiative
TheatreMania Africa is poised to redefine youth development in Nigeria with the upcoming edition of its flagship project, the Generation Next Theatre (GNT) IInitiative. This bold programme champio ns the integration of creative arts within Nigerian education, fostering a new generation of innovative thinkers, leaders, and storytellers.
Scheduled for June 4th and 5th, 2026, the two-day event will unfold at the esteemed Corona Secondary School (CSS) in Agbara, Ogun State. It promises a dynamic convergence of Nollywood stars, corporate leaders, the Black Image Theatre Troupe, and the talented drama students of CSS. Moving beyond traditional classroom boundaries, the GNT Initiative prioritises theatre and mentorship as essential components of a holistic education—empowering students to unlock their creative potential, enhance emotional intelligence, and develop critical leadership skills vital for thriving in today’s competitive global landscape.
This innovative programme will feature an impressive line-up, including Dr. Sam Uche Anyamele FTA (Nollywood Actor), Bukola Thomas (Nollywood Actress), Julius Oyekanmi (Tech Expert), Alayande Stephen T. (Prolific Producer), Paul Uwagbai (Veteran Director), Tomiwa Songonuga (Reality Show Celebrity), Dr. Ochuko Odesa (Chartered Accountant), along with the drama students of Corona Secondary School and the Black Image Theatre Troupe.

Day 1: The Master Circle (Mentorship Session)
Kicking off on Thursday, June 4th, the Master Circle Mentorship Session offers an exclusive platform for CSS Agbara students to engage directly with industry veterans and corporate leaders committed to the arts. This session goes beyond conventional career talks, delving into personal development, emotional resilience, the business of creativity, and balancing artistic passion with professional excellence.
Day 2: The Stage Play Collaboration — ‘WHISPERS 4.0’
The climax of the initiative takes place on Friday, June 5th, with a live performance of the acclaimed stage play, WHISPERS 4.0. This groundbreaking collaboration will feature Nollywood stars, corporate executives, the Black Image Theatre Troupe, and the talented drama students of CSS Agbara. The play explores pertinent social themes, aiming to inspire introspection and demonstrate the therapeutic power of storytelling.
