Industry Leaders to Explore AI’s Role in Marketing: Opportunities and Challenges at BJAN Conference 2025

 

The Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) has unveiled the theme and line-up of speakers for its 2025 Annual Conference, themed: “AI and Future of Marketing Workflow: Disruption or Opportunity.”

The event is scheduled to take place on 28 November 2025 at the Oriental Hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos, bringing together key stakeholders from Nigeria’s integrated marketing and communications sector.

The conference will be chaired by Mr. Udeme Ufot, Group Chief Executive Officer of SO&U Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading advertising agencies. Under his leadership, the event aims to provide a platform for industry professionals to explore how AI is transforming marketing strategies, advertising, and consumer engagement.

According to BJAN Chairman Mr. Daniel Obi, the conference is designed to foster meaningful dialogue among experts across public relations, brand and reputation management, advertising, integrated marketing communications (IMC), and related fields.

“AI is no longer a futuristic concept; it is a present reality reshaping industries and economies. This year’s conference will help stakeholders understand how to adapt, leverage opportunities, and navigate the ethical considerations of AI adoption,” Obi stated.

Confirmed speakers and panel members include: Dr. Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President, Group Marketing & Corporate Communications at Interswitch Group; Mr. Folajimi Daodu, Chief Executive Officer of Vault Hill; Dr. Lekan Fadolapo, Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON); and Bethel Obioma, Head of Corporate Communications at Sahara Group.

The event will also feature a panel discussion with experts from advertising, technology, banking, and telecommunications, including Emma Adeniran, an ICT specialist; Morolake Emokpaire, Marketing Lead at Cadbury Nigeria Plc; Lanre Basamta, CEO and Co-founder of Optimus AI Labs; Austin Onyebuchi Akosa, Chief Information Officer at UBA; and Dr. Seyi Akindeinde, Founder of Hyperspace Technologies.

This panel will examine emerging trends, ethical issues, and strategic opportunities related to AI adoption in marketing and business operations.

As Nigeria’s foremost group of journalists shaping the integrated marketing landscape, BJAN’s annual conference has become an essential platform for learning, networking, and lively debate on industry developments.
