Advertising, Marketing And Media Professionals Set to Storm Abuja As ARCON Host 2022 National Advertising Conference
All is set for the National Advertising Conference with the theme: “The Marketing Communications Industry: Trends, Challenges and Prospects”, slated to hold from November 29 to December 1st, 2022.
The conference will be hosted again in the Nation’s seat of power, the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The much anticipated conference hosted by Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) gets underway on the 29th of November 2022 with a fireside chat with an advertising guru, a Professor of Strategy Management and Dean Lagos Business School, Professor Chris Ogbeche.
The opening ceremony for the conference holds on the 30th November 2022 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja by 9.00am. This would be followed by a panel discussion on the size of the Advertising industry – Stronger brands, stronger nation, and the State of Regulation in the Advertising Industry: The ARCON Law explained.
Day 2 will feature Understanding the new consumer from Gen Z to Alpha, creating brand experience in a digital world – the future of experiential marketing, from buying board space to buying mind space – Trends in OOH as well as building Nigeria’s new Television audience measurement system
Distinguished speakers at the conference include Emmanuel Agu Group Marketing Director – Jotna, Oare Ojeikere a marketing professional, Rotimi Pedro, CEO Optima Mrdia Group, Kola Oyeyemi -CEO Axiom Intel, Emeka Okeke Group CEO Media Fuse Dentsu Nigeria, Dr Tunji Olugbodi EVC/GCEO Verdant Zeal Communication, Adia Sowho CMO MTN, Prof Samaila Mande and a host of other dignitaries.
The Chairman, Planning Committee and President of Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria, EXMAN, Mr. Tunji Adeyinka stated that ARCON’s decision to put together the maiden edition in 2019 stemmed from the need to provide a forum where practitioners, stakeholders and businesses in the advertising ecosystem could converge and exchange knowledge between the brightest of minds as well as critically examine issues around the global economic impact as it affects the advertising sub-sector of the economy.
Adeyinka added that “the conference has been designed to bring together the three pillars of the industry – the advertisers, marketing agencies and the media by the regulator so as to facilitate growth and advancement of the advertising landscape”.
The Chief host of the conference and Director General of ARCON, Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo revealed that the conference is aimed at all professionals and businesses interested in best practices in the Advertising/Marcomms industry.

The conference will be rounded up with a dinner and the Advertising Standards Panel Awards where companies that complied with stipulated guidelines of the advertising code of practice will be given special recognition and award.
It promises to be 3 days of learning and sharing for the advertising industry in Nigeria.
