BJAN Appoints Adejuwon Osunnuyi As New Chief Information Officer
The Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria, BJAN has announced the appointment of Adejuwon Osunnuyi as its new Chief Information Officer, CIO.
With the appointment as the CIO, Osunnuyi is saddled with the responsibility of editing the association’s industry magazine, The Mango.
Osunnuyi, who is the Editor/CEO of The DailyBells Nigeria Newspaper, succeeds Lukman Ishau, the Publisher of Marketingspace magazine.
The Mango, which has remained a major landmark in the journey of BJAN and the advertising and marketing industry, has over the years been giving opportunity to members to deepen their reportage of the advertising and marketing industry and create a knowledge pool worthy of the stature of the industry to cover.
The first edition edited by Adedeji Ademigbuji was launched at the 2013 annual Brand and Marketing conference held in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The publication has since become collectors’ item within and outside the advertising and marketing industry.
As a seasoned journalist, Osunnuyi had served as the Ag. Editor with Business Courage magazine, a weekly business publication of the National Mirror Newspaper.
He began his journalism career as a special Correspondent with the then Lagos State Broadcasting Corporation known as Radio Lagos in 1995.
In 1997, he joined the African Independent Television, AIT as Production Assistant.
In 2002, immediately after his NYSC programme, Osunnuyi established and edited the now rested Biu Community Newspaper. Biu Community News was a community newspaper in Biu town, Borno State, Nigeria.
Osunnuyi has worked with other various media organizations since then. He worked with TheNews magazine as a reporter from 2006 to 2009.
In April 2009, he joined The Westerner news magazine as a Staff writer.
He joined Leadership Newspapers in 2010 and was briefly with National Standard between February 2011 and April 2011 before joining Business Courage Magazine, which was a special business pull out inside National Mirror published every Monday.
Apart from the Brands and Marketing which he has covered for over ten years, Osunnuyi has covered other beats such as politics (Nation), Judiciary, Maritime, ICT, capital market and money market.
Osunnuyi, who was born in Lagos, but hails from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, holds an Higher National Diploma, Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun state.
According to the BJAN Chairman, Goddie Ofose, the appointment of Osunnuyi takes immediate effect.
