COVID-19: Nigerian Breweries Staff Donate Materials to Nigerians
Nigerian Breweries Plc staff have donated relief materials to members of the communities around the company’s environment in Abia, Imo and Kaduna States, including Abuja (FCT) in a bid to
support the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and to cushion the effect of the nationwide lockdown on Nigerians.
The personal donation by NB staff was in addition to the N600million provided as financial support to the government by the company.
According to a statement made available by the brewing giant, it pledged to continue to support the collective fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in as many ways as it could.
“Recently, we organised an outreach initiative to support some members of the communities around our brewery locations (Abia, Imo, Kaduna and Abuja) with relief materials to help ease the pressures occasioned by the nationwide lockdown.
“This personal donation by NB staff is in addition to the N600million which Nigerian Breweries Plc has provided in financial support, medical supplies and relief materials to the NCDC, federal and state governments, as well as other forms of support provided by the Heineken Group.”
“Indeed, the fight against COVID-19 is not a sprint. It’s a marathon and we’re in it to win,” the statement reads.
