The Executive Director of Dangote Group, Engr. Ahmed Mansur has urged Nigerian Consumers to patronize made- in -Nigeria goods in order to help the country get out of economic recession and accelerate economic growth and development.

Speaking at the just concluded international trade fair organised by Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in Lagos, Mansur said the responsibility of fixing Nigeria economy is on all Nigerians.

“We must buy what we produce in Nigeria; we encourage our producers to produce more by promoting our products (made- in –Nigeria goods). By consuming our products, we are encouraging investors to invest more in our country,” he said.

He noted that the objective of Dangote group is to produce everything that is basic to the need of life of the people, adding that “that’s why we are expanding our sugar, tomato and other factories. That’s why we are going into fertilizer, oil and gas.”

Similarly, the President of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry,LCCI, Mrs Nike Akande said the government to provide conducive business and regulatory environment with economic stability in the country for business to thrive.

“As we diversify our economy away from oil to majorly agriculture, we call on government to provide a conducive business and regulatory environment with some high level of economic stability in the country for businesses to thrive. The Government, being the highest spender should promote of Made-in-Nigeria goods and services in order to support local enterprises and reduce our over-dependence on imports” she said.
