Fire Outbreak: NAIC Set to Resume Operations, Reassures Stakeholders of Uninterrupted Service

The Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) has announced that normal business activities will resume tomorrow, Thursday, March 5, 2026, at its Corporate Headquarters in Abuja. This follows a fire incident that occurred on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, which temporarily halted operations at the organisation’s main office.

The fire, which broke out within the Corporation’s head office building, prompted immediate suspension of activities to safeguard staff, visitors, and property. Emergency responders from the Federal Fire Service responded swiftly, successfully containing the blaze and preventing further damage.

After thorough safety inspections and implementing necessary safety measures, management has confirmed that the premises are now secure for re-entry. The Corporation expressed appreciation for the prompt action taken by the fire service and thanked its customers, partners, tenants, and the public for their patience and understanding during the disruption.

Magdalene Omosimua, General Manager of Corporate Affairs, stated, “We are grateful for the swift response of the fire service and the cooperation of all stakeholders. Our priority remains the safety of everyone and the continuity of our services. We are committed to delivering on our mandate and ensuring that operations resume seamlessly.”

NAIC reassures all stakeholders that it remains dedicated to providing uninterrupted service as it returns to full operation.
